Chime Biologics and Daewoong Pharmaceutical have entered into a strategic collaboration to develop and manufacture a dupilumab biosimilar candidate referencing Dupixent for global markets. The partnership, announced by VMS Group, combines the development and manufacturing capabilities of Chime Biologics with Daewoong Pharmaceutical’s plans to expand its presence in the international biosimilars sector. Through this initiative, Daewoong and Chime Biologics aim to accelerate the availability of biologic medicines for patients across worldwide markets.
Under the agreement, Chime Biologics will draw on its end-to-end biosimilar development and commercialization expertise, its AI-enabled development platform known as the Chime AI Platform, and the Chime Innovation Alliance bioprocess supply chain ecosystem. The collaboration supports Daewoong Pharmaceutical’s entry into the biosimilars segment and focuses on the expanding global immunology market. Dupixent, developed jointly by Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, recorded approximately US$17.8 billion in global sales during 2025, making it one of the best-selling biologic medicines globally.
