eschbach has renamed its flagship enterprise software platform, Shiftconnector, to Seqonis, marking a new phase in the productโs development after two decades of expansion across pharmaceutical, chemical and process manufacturing industries. The announcement was made during the Pharma Manufacturing World Summit and AVEVA World on May 19, 2026, as the company outlined its long-term strategy for intelligent industrial operations. The newly branded Seqonis Intelligent Operations Platform represents the evolution of a system that originally focused on digital shift handovers into a broader operational environment designed to support manufacturers managing increasingly complex production demands.
According to eschbach, the platform is intended to help manufacturing organizations respond to changing operating conditions by connecting operational data with workforce knowledge in real time. Andreas Eschbach, CEO of eschbach, said, โManufacturers are entering a future where execution depends on realtime intelligence, not more training or static systems.โ He added, โSeqonis is built to be futureproof. It connects the full sequence of operational data with the collective intelligence of the workforce, giving teams the knowledge they need in the moment to execute with speed, accuracy and confidenceโno matter what comes next.โ The platform integrates operational systems including MES, LIMS, QMS, ERP and historians to improve workflow coordination, increase uptime and support faster operational decision-making. eschbach stated that the system can identify emerging issues and recommend actions before disruptions escalate, while also supporting collaboration between employees, AI systems and machines.
Manufacturers including Bayer, Merck and Lubrizol currently use the platform to support operational execution and preserve institutional knowledge across production networks. eschbach said demonstrations of the Seqonis Intelligent Operations Platform would be held during the Pharma Manufacturing World Summit at the Boston Marriott Copley Place between May 18 and May 20. During the event, Merck executive Wincy Fung is scheduled to join Andreas Eschbach for a session focused on intelligent visual factory operations and execution acceleration in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Seqonis was also featured during AVEVA World in Milan, where eschbach COO Veit Hora and Stephen Reynolds of AVEVA discussed the role of data, AI and partner applications in industrial performance improvement.
