Sharp, a part of UDG Healthcare and a leading provider of pharmaceutical packaging and clinical services, has strengthened its senior leadership team with two new additions.
Walter Tyrrell has been appointed as chief financial officer and Robert O’Beirn as senior vice president and commercial director. Mr. O’Beirn takes interim responsibility for Sharp’s European commercial packaging operation, while also leading corporate development overall for the division.
Commenting on the appointments, Brendan McAtamney, CEO of UDG Healthcare, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Robert and Walter to Sharp’s senior leadership team.
“Their skill and experience will be instrumental in helping us to continue delivering growth for the Sharp division and developing services that meet our customers’ evolving needs.”
Mr. Tyrrell moves to Sharp from within the wider UDG Healthcare group, where he has been head of Internal Audit since 2014. Prior to joining UDG Healthcare, Walter held senior roles in the banking and life assurance sectors.
Mr O’Beirn joined UDG Healthcare in 2011 as senior legal counsel, later joining the corporate development area, with particular focus on M&A.
