Ellie Khadir DVM

Ellie Khadir is an expert in small- and large-animal disease models. At CBSET, she is actively involved in the evaluation of new medical therapies, directing preclinical studies evaluating the safety and efficacy of medical devices, cell-based therapies, and pharmaceuticals. Before joining CBSET, Ellie was a postdoctoral associate at the University of Minnesota’s Department of Neurology, where she led in vivo and in vitro research that supported clinical development of advanced gene therapies for rare genetic diseases. Previously, at the University’s Division of Infectious Disease, she conducted research in synthetic and molecular virology. Her scientific publications have appeared in a variety of peer-reviewed journals including PLos Neglected Tropical Diseases and Journal of Translational Medicine, among others. She holds a PhD in Anatomical Pathology and is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
