Eirik Pettersen
Eirik Pettersen is the Head of Sales & Managing Director APAC at Sartorius, having previously served as the Head of Lab Product Solutions APAC from 2012 onwards. He has been based in Asia for 30 years and is as fluent in Mandarin as he is in Norwegian and English. He began his journey in Asia by enrolling in a multi-institutional degree program with Norway’s University of Oslo (UiO) and Nanjing University in China, where he lived and studied for two years. He later completed an internship at the representative office of Nycomed Amersham in China, securing a full-time position upon graduating in 1996 right as the Chinese biopharma industry began to surge. He has spent the next three decades building his career in the pharmaceutical sector managing complex multinational projects involving over-the-counter (OTC) medications, clinical diagnostics, and research laboratory equipment before transitioning from his long-standing lab product leadership into his current senior regional sales and executive managing director role at Sartorius.
