Alcami Corporation has announced a series of strategic investments at its Tennessee facility, a site that recently became part of the companyโs network through the acquisition of Tjoapack. The initiative is aimed at strengthening operations across quality, packaging, storage, and workforce capabilities as the contract development and manufacturing organization continues to expand its integrated service offering. The company said the improvements are intended to support operational consistency, enhance customer service, and position the facility for future growth.
As part of the upgrades, the Tennessee site will be integrated into Alcamiโs enterprise-wide Quality Management System. The facility will implement MasterControl, the digital QMS platform already used throughout Alcamiโs U.S. operations, providing greater standardization, improved compliance, and broader operational visibility. Alongside these quality enhancements, Alcami is reorganizing its Quality and Operations teams to better align resources, expertise, and capacity with current and anticipated customer requirements. The company stated that these organizational changes are designed to ensure the site is equipped to support long-term growth and evolving market needs.
The company is also expanding packaging and storage capacity through multiple infrastructure and equipment investments. Several packaging lines will undergo upgrades that include higher operating speeds, new equipment installations, and serialization capabilities to address changing regulatory and customer requirements. Alcami is additionally investing in a new high-speed bottle packaging line scheduled to become operational during the first half of 2027, increasing throughput and production capacity at the facility. As part of a broader network initiative, the Tennessee site will also be integrated into Alcamiโs GMP storage network, which is expanding temperature-controlled storage capacity across multiple U.S. locations through high-density storage solutions, warehousing enhancements, and additional redundancy measures.
โBy strengthening our Tennessee site across storage, packaging, quality systems, and team structure, we are enhancing our ability to integrate solutions and support customers with greater flexibility and reliability,โ commented Patrick Walsh, Interim CEO & Board Chair, Alcami. โTogether, these improvements will enhance operational efficiency, flexibility, continuity of supply, and product protection, allowing Alcami to sustain our quality levels as we service growing customer demand.โ
The investments represent a significant milestone in Alcamiโs post-acquisition integration strategy and reinforce the companyโs commitment to delivering end-to-end solutions spanning development, manufacturing, and packaging. Through these initiatives, Alcami aims to further strengthen packaging and storage capacity while supporting customers with enhanced operational performance, reliability, and supply continuity across its network.
