Carolina Partners Clinical Research Institute, LLC, North Carolina’s largest outpatient mental and behavioral health practice, has partnered with Elligo Health Research, a healthcare-enabling research organization, to further expand its clinical research program. The partnership makes it possible for Carolina Partners, which has 20 locations throughout North Carolina, to scale up its clinical research business beginning with its Situs Court location in Raleigh, North Carolina.

“We have long been committed to bringing additional care options to our patients through the clinical trial channel,” said Jeff Williams, CEO of Carolina Partners. “Our partnership with Elligo, together with Dr. Sandeep Vaishnavi, our clinical research director, will allow us to efficiently build a state-of-the-art clinical research facility to address the high demand for new treatments in mental health.”

Dr. Vaishnavi has been conducting research studies related to neuropsychiatric aspects of brain injury, and has developed objective methods for psychiatric assessment and management throughout his career. With multiple publications and presentations, he has been recognized regularly for his research accomplishments. Most recently, Dr. Vaishnavi was presented with the 2018 Clinical Service Award from Duke Medical Center.

Elligo eases the burden of conducting research by providing healthcare experts the tools necessary to conduct clinical research in an office setting. As part of the partnership, participating practices receive specialized training, critical infrastructure, and access to novel technology.

“We engage physicians and patients who would otherwise not participate in clinical research,” said John Potthoff, Ph.D., CEO of Elligo Health Research. “Our IntElligo Research Stack™ clinical technology and Goes Direct® approach maintains the integrity of the trusted relationship between physicians and their patients while leveraging electronic health records to ensure all patients have access to clinical research as a care option.”
