Advanced Analytical Technologies in Pharma Impurity Testing

Advanced analytical technologies in pharma impurity testing are transforming how trace contaminants are detected, identified, and controlled across the drug lifecycle. With high-resolution instrumentation, automation, and AI-driven insights, the industry is strengthening precision, data integrity, and patient safety to meet increasingly stringent purity standards.

Advancing Quality 4.0 Through Centralized Drug Knowledge

Implementation of a unified data framework serves as the catalyst for modernizing pharmaceutical production, bridging the gap between legacy processes and intelligent automation. By consolidating disparate data streams into a cohesive repository, organizations achieve unprecedented visibility into critical quality attributes and process parameters. This transformation facilitates proactive risk mitigation and ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices are maintained through high-fidelity insights rather than retrospective analysis, ultimately fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Quality Risk Management and the Role of Verified Drug Information

Effective quality risk management in pharmaceutical manufacturing hinges on the availability of verified drug information to ensure GMP compliance and product safety.

CRANE ChemPharma Flow Solutions announced the launch of its new BioPharm applications module, an addition to its existing www.cranechempharma.com website.  The new interactive module can be also accessed directly at www.cranebiopharm.com, allowing an easier and faster link to CRANE [Saunders®, ResistoPure®, and DEPA®] flow solutions for global BioPharm and Pharmaceutical markets.

Featuring interactive process maps of Bioreactors, CIP (Clean in Place), WFI (Water Distribution), Filtration and Chromatography, the module guides the user through Bio-Block valve configuration examples for improving cleanability and process fluid handling.  CRANE’s bundled solutions of trusted products (like those from the Saunders® brand) for the BioPharm, API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), hygienic and industrial applications are highlighted throughout the module.  Additionally, this online tool provides valuable training for distributors, engineers, and students on where and how complicated Bio-Block valves can be used within critical BioPharm processes.

Darin Palmer, Vertical Marketing Manager, CRANE ChemPharma Flow Solutions said, CRANE has dedicated significant resources toward industry education and the new CRANE BioPharm module is just another example of our commitment to that cause. The tools offered through the module, like the interactive table of P&ID block orientations, have the ability to increase the speed and efficiency of valve selection for time sensitive BioPharm projects.

While both comprehensive and accurate, the system and valve designs illustrated in the new CRANE ChemPharma BioPharm site module are suggestions only.  Alternative flow paths of different block valve and/or two-way valve solutions may be preferred based on system requirements.  However, CRANE does offer the service of customizing a valve design that can directly address companies’ specific needs, outside the scope of the new BioPharm module, if needed.

CRANE ChemPharma Flow Solutions will host two training webinars to walk customers and interested parties through the new module on October 28 at 5:00AM EST and 11:00AM EST. If interested in attending the webinar, please send an email to news@cranechempharma.com.  All those who RSVP before October 28 will be entered into a drawing to win an iPad2.
