Patients at Medison’s network of clinics will gain access to next generation treatments and therapies by being matched to leading-edge, international clinical trials. This will also accelerate the launch of new treatments and medications in Georgia.

The Medison network of clinics specializes in outpatient and dental services for all social strata, focusing on patient health care, disease prevention, and timely and correct diagnosis. The four clinics in Tbilisi, Georgia, provide medical care to over 6,000 patients each month.

The network has highly qualified, specialist clinical staff and is fully equipped for state-of-the-art clinical trials. Medison currently has several trials running. “We are determined to provide our patients with the best possible care and we are deeply convinced that this partnership with Clinerion will help us achieve this,” says Tsotne Sherozia, Director of Medison. “Patient Network Explorer will give our patients access to the most innovative drugs in development, worldwide.”

Patient Network Explorer matches patients from Clinerion’s global network of hospitals to clinical trials run by pharmaceutical sponsors. The system is based on de-identified EHR data, unlinked from any identifiers, protecting patient privacy. Clinerion hospital partners may use the system to identify the patients found for recruitment into trials, under ethics committee approval. This accelerates trial recruitment, and ultimately accelerates drug launch.

“We are very happy to have the opportunity to support more patients in Georgia via partnership with Medison,”says Ian Rentsch, CEO of Clinerion. “Medison’s high quality of patient care makes them a good partner for Clinerion and for sponsors seeking trial sites in Georgia. We look forward to drawing more trials to the country.”
