The group company of Nippon Express Holdings, Inc., Nippon Express Italia S.p.A., has gone on to get recertification from the Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CIEV). It is a kind of quality certificate that gets granted for pharmaceutical transport by IATA, which is the International Air Transport Association. The company has been awarded this certificate for its warehouse facility based in Lainate, which happens to be near the Milan Malpensa Airport.

It is well to be noted that Italy has numerous pharma as well as biotech companies, with hubs like Milan offering the Milano Innovation District (MIND), which is a science and technology park that is dedicated to pharma research and development and manufacturing. Apparently, the city is also the hub for the distribution of pharmaceuticals across the rest of Europe.

Good Distribution Practice certification was awarded to NX Italia in May 2021, thereby demonstrating its compliance with the globally recognised standards when it comes to the proper distribution of pharmaceuticals. The award, in sync with CEIV pharma certification, will go on to provide a much safer and higher quality of pharma transportation services by using Milan Malpensa Airport as a hub.
