Dr. Waldo Acevedo Castillo is a faculty member at the Institute of Chemistry, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile. His work integrates structural bioinformatics, food chemistry, and biochemical pharmacology, with a strong emphasis on molecular modeling, protein–ligand interactions, and rational design strategies. He applies computational simulations to explore how chemical structure relates to biological activity and sensory properties at the molecular level. His interdisciplinary approach bridges chemistry, biology, and computational science, supporting innovative research in biomolecular systems. In addition to research, he is actively engaged in university teaching, student mentoring, and academic collaboration, contributing to the development of interdisciplinary training in modern chemical and biomolecular sciences.
