Prof. Dr. Afshan Siddiq is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Karachi, Pakistan, where she has built a distinguished career in teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, along with academic leadership in pharmacology as well as allied pharmaceutical sciences. Her research interests primarily comprise experimental pharmacology, drug safety, and the pharmacological evaluation of bioactive compounds, through which she has contributed meaningfully to pharmaceutical and biomedical research by way of scientific publications, postgraduate mentorship, and also active academic engagement. Having served as Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacology, she has indeed been a driving force in promoting scientific collaboration, research capacity building, and professional development. Deeply committed to advancing pharmacological research, strengthening academia–industry linkages, and nurturing the next generation of researchers in the health sciences, her key areas of expertise include experimental pharmacology; drug safety and pharmacological evaluation; pharmacology and allied pharmaceutical sciences; biomedical and pharmaceutical research; postgraduate research supervision and mentorship; academic leadership and scientific collaboration; and academia–industry partnerships and research capacity building.
