Howard Maibach, MD, is a renowned dermatologist who specializes in contact dermatitis, occupational dermatitis, allergic skin disease, and skin diseases caused by toxic exposure. He is also very academically interested in dermatopharmacology, the study of drugs and treatments for skin disorders.
He earned his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine while finishing his residency and fellowship in dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Maibach has been on the editorial boards of over 30 scientific journals and is a member of 19 professional societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, San Francisco Dermatological Society and International Commission on Occupational Health.
