Investment Group Acquires Metrics Champion Consortium to Drive Adoption and Growth

The Metrics Champion Consortium (MCC) board of directors announced today that the organization has been sold to a group of investors.

The existing non-profit MCC will discontinue and a Limited Liability Corporate structure will take over operations. The new owners—Dave Zuckerman Linda Sullivan and Ken Getz—plan to invest in growing the MCC to expand its membership base and add new products and services to increase adoption of the MCC offerings.

Founded in 2006 the Indiana-based MCC is an independent membership organization focused on developing standardized performance time cost and quality metrics used by pharmaceutical biotechnology medical device contract service providers and investigative sites. The MCC’s portfolio includes central lab imaging cardiopulmonary assessment and clinical trial metrics. Nearly 100 companies have joined the MCC since its founding.

“The board is delighted to have Linda Sullivan continue her involvement as part of the new management team” said Brian Schrock board chair. “Linda brings both great skill and continuity. Dave Zuckerman brings unprecedented leadership as a successful entrepreneur and an expert in the development and use of performance metrics in pharmaceutical R&D. And of course Ken Getz brings his formidable insights and deep industry knowledge.”

“The membership can count on the new MCC to augment the original organization’s efforts with much-needed educational services reference resources and stronger collaboration” said Dave Zuckerman. “There is an unprecedented need for standardized performance metrics and benchmarking in pharmaceutical R&D. We’re very pleased and eager to have the opportunity to better meet that need.”
