Bridging Clinical Research & Clinical Health Care Collaborative Announces 2019 Keynote Speakers and Collaborative Topics

The Bridging Clinical Research & Clinical Health Care Collaborative, a forum where health care professionals, patients, physicians, academics, clinical researchers, service and technology providers, and regulatory authorities convene to advance clinical research and its integration with health care, has released a preliminary list of its 2019 agenda topics.

This think tank brings together thought leaders from around the world to collaboratively problem solve ways to improve physician and patient participation in research and accelerate learning health cycles.

The 2019 Bridging Collaborative will feature keynote presentations, followed by pillar presentations to stimulate robust panel discussions. Topics will include “Unlocking Real-World Value from Electronic Health Records,” “Improving Research Quality with Common Protocol Templates and Standards,” “The Future of the Case Report Form” and many more. The interactive luncheon discussions will bring together stakeholders with various perspectives to help bridge the current chasm between research and health care.

This year’s keynote sessions include presentations by: Badhri Srinivasan, head, global development operations, Novartis; Joshua Rubin, president and CEO, Learning Health Community; John Barry, chief operating officer, Pharm-Olam, and a patient advocate; and Michelle Keefe, president, commercial solutions, Syneos Health.

“The Bridging Collaborative is bringing the right innovators together to make a real difference in the future of health care,” said Srinivasan. “I’m privileged to be so deeply involved in these conversations that are bringing patients and emerging therapies closer together.”

The forum, March 4–5, 2019, at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C., will also involve speakers from government, industry and academia including Amy Nordo, Pfizer; Brian Burk, Verizon; Marty Tenenbaum, Cancer Commons; Paul Bleicher, OptumLabs; and Alex Sherman, Massachusetts General Hospital.

“Our advisory board has planned an agenda that covers some of the most pressing issues affecting health care today,” said Rubin. “I am truly looking forward to witnessing key individuals across the health spectrum come together to brainstorm groundbreaking solutions.”
