Worldwide Clinical Trials Receives First Annual 2017 Medidata Accelerator Award

Worldwide Clinical Trials (www.worldwide.com) has been recognized by Medidata , the leading global provider of cloud-based solutions and data analytics for clinical research, with the first annual Medidata Accelerator Award.

The award recognizes a CRO that demonstrates a shared commitment to helping customers drive clinical success and through industry relationships, promotes the advancement and acceleration of clinical trial execution.

“We are delighted to be recognized by Medidata with their inaugural Accelerator Award – an honor that belongs to all Worldwide team members and their shared commitment to embracing an innovative mindset and a laser focus on delivering uncommon value for trial sponsors,” said Peter Benton, president and COO at Worldwide Clinical Trials.

“We’re pleased to distinguish the great work of Worldwide Clinical Trials with this award,” said April Mulroney, Managing Director of Payments at Medidata. “While this reflects their 2017 success, Worldwide Clinical Trials has proven to be a beacon for excellence in clinical research throughout our multi-year relationship. Medidata prioritizes timeliness and accuracy in payments, both critical to clinical research success, and we’re proud to help Worldwide create an industry-leading site payment operation.”

In July 2017, Worldwide Clinical Trials selected Medidata Payments Cloud to streamline accurate, timely payments on behalf of their clinical trial sponsors. Driven by EDC Rave, Medidata Payment Cloud stood out as a truly end-to-end solution with full support for global tax calculations and disbursements to ensure the expenditure of payments directly into an investigative site’s bank account. These capabilities will further enable Worldwide to transform the CRO experience for sponsors and sites –shortening payment cycle times, increasing accuracy and eliminating hours allocated to reconciliation and reporting.

Medidata NEXT Global was a three-day conference that included 89 thought-provoking sessions highlighting cutting-edge innovation within each phase of the clinical development cycle. Anthony Doyle, CFO of Worldwide Clinical Trials, accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
